Fired police offices just get a job in the next town. It's all a charade.

Tried to tell my mother about how this town is messed up for putting the Flock cameras on all the exits to the city, and even at the nature trail down the road from me. She tried to defend them... and of course this happens 2 days after! Well it doesnt stop there folks, the police chief trained with the IDF in Israel and the enshitification of this town has rapidly increased since the Hollywood esque studios and the QTS data center. Truly a spectacle.

That is not to mention, Flock cameras are not really for tracking your license plate. Hell, id argue its hardly about recognizing your face. They siphon the meta data off your phone and use that to build a digital profile of you, which is arguably the most dangerous part. I'm sure absolutely nothing nefarious could come of that, like say, Graphite levels of pre-crime or cyber blackmail.

The abuse at the hands of rogue cops pales in comparison to abuse of the people when these systems "work as intended"
