Probabilistic computing is here; here is how it works

>Quantum and neuromorphic computing have attracted billions in investment and entered the public zeitgeist on the promise of orders-of-magnitude gains in computing. Even though these technologies are still decades away from commercial availability, they’ve been buoyed by a general acceptance that once they come to fruition, the world will never be the same.

The statement is for quantum and neuromorphic not for probabilistic computing.

Given how many papers with quantum computing keywords that you can find in Google scholar and the existence of quantum computing laboratory (simulation or experiment) in nearly every research university on earth, the statement is very true.
