Like many people I know, I went from Apple Watch to a "dumb" Casio, as an escape from the attention grabbing information gateway on my wrist. It was surprisingly easy to leave smart and tracking features behind.
Having a dumb watch also enables me to leave my smartphone in the backpack and checking the time whithout seeing how many messages I got. And since I don't have to charge my watch and it's virtually indestructible, I can forget about it unless I want to know the time, start a timer, set an alarm etc.
I feel like this was the single most important move to switch from devices which are controlling me, back to me controlling my devices.
