I agreed right up to the conclusion about the need for increased safety regulation. How do we ensure such regulation protects us instead of the interests of a handful of ‘all-powerful’ frontier labs?

Maybe regulation can also mean a new accountability framework. That I would agree with. ‘I didn’t mean to hack into that bank; my autonomous agent did it while price shopping’ sounds ridiculous, yet it’s not far removed from what frontier labs are getting away with in the pursuit of more attention
