Pretty ironic a communist country has stronger assertion of individual ownership rights than USA, the flagship of capitalism.

A lot of people would disagree that China is communist in any meaningful sense (despite being run by the CCP.) I've seen the term "state capitalist" applied to describe their economic system.

Here is a long thread debating the communist nature of China that will go into greater depth than anything you will ever find on HN, which rarely treads beyond "communism evil, capitalism good."
