You Don't Want to Time Travel

This is like saying you don't want to travel on a highway because if you keep going in a straight line you'll end up in the bush at the first curve. Not a particular deep take - not that many time travel stories are any deeper either.

Might make an ok short story. Astronauts find a body in space dresses in a white lab coat, tie, and horn rimmed glasses. Turns out to be reclusive scientist not seen in years.
