Google Maps Now Shows 'Lake America' in US, Not 'Lake Ontario'

Half the job of a map maker is to figure out correct borders in disputed areas while keeping both sides happy. In the internet age you can do that by simply showing a different map in each country.

And Google maps does not show: 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, House of Ill-repute? And Mark Zukerburd telling everyone he is going to spend $600 billion on AI in the next five years? Google maps will make itself insignificant. ( see my review of the North Atlantic ).

It's so interesting to me that someone who, by their profile, is supposedly the founder of some critical resources, national security, company, spends their time by going on HackerNews and writing shitpost comments about their hate for things/people/companies. Really? That's how you represent yourself online? On an account that you directly link to your company?

Apple updates maps slowly. We saw this with Gulf of America. Google Maps just happens to update things faster.

I dont think it is upto Google and/or Apple.
