Cracker Barrel CEO Stepping Down After Logo Controversy, Activist Pressure

The whole Cracker Barrel fiasco absolutely fascinated me and I think is a strange microcosm of the weirdness of American politics.

What fascinated me about Cracker Barrel is - it’s not that I can’t see why people think Cracker Barrel is coded right, and yet, underlying all that I don’t think it is. And I remember - all of my liberal friends missed Cracker Barrel, but I remember watching like all these conservative pundits talk about it, and to a person none had been to one recently!

It was this weird obsession with this idea of Americana none of them actually wanted!
