Solo Developer donates 40k to Postgres

Digital Ocean just committed 3 million dollars to a vibe coded slop linux distro (Omarchy), they sell $15.00 a month Postgres containers and don't donate a single bit of employee time, or money to Postgres.

This solo dev, River Adèle Champeimont, donated 40k (or more) to Postgres, as much as Microsoft and AWS.

Why are we funding slop AI linux distros to the tune of millions of dollars..

say you took an explosive device and you put that explosive device in an unlocked box that doesnt stop you from opening it and poking around at the wiring and then you gatekept everyone that doesnt have explosives training from using the box by not selling it setup so they have to know how to set it up first
