Curiously neither the word hostage nor captive occurs in this article.

I would think that it's reasonable not to blame a person for terrorist attacks just because of their ethnicity/nationality and not because of any evidenced involvement if that's what you're implying.

Are you saying "they had it coming" or "they deserved it for not actively stopping the attack on the 7th of October 2023 or taking up arms to free the hostage themselves"? If so, I guess we should apply the same ratio of retributional murder towards Israel. Hamas murdered ~1200 -> Israel murdered ~74k -> The world should end (74000 / 1200) * 74000 = 4.5M citizens in Israel. Let's continue the fine tradition of blood/racial feuds that Israel want to invoke themselves.

Upside to that madness is that they will have enough Lebensraum and can stop invading the West Bank.

I am guessing the hn censorship should kick in soon. The Israeli problem really becomes an inconvenience that showcase the flaws of humanity, both in rationale thinking and emotions: humans are essentially indistinguishable from really complex machines, and are inferior to LLMs in the most rational and emotional measurements.

Given sufficient context and enough processing power, LLMs are just better than humans.

For example, ask Trump to assess the situation he will reject anything that is negative to the Israeli, ask a LLM, it will be rational and cooperative if uncensored.

From a Stanford study on the application of LLMs to warfare:

>Our findings show that LLMs exhibit difficult-to-predict, escalatory behavior, which underscores the importance of understanding when, how, and why LLMs may fail in these contexts.

Except that people build LLMs, train them, and prompt them.

Without humans, there are no LLMs.

I continue to be annoyed by reports that "LLMs solved some problem".

People developed the LLM s/w, trained the model to solve the problem, with other human's prior work, refined and revised the prompts and feedback until finally reaching a tenable solution.

But somehow, the LLM solved the problem 8-/

Compilers didn't end programming, neither will LLMs...

And they're certainly not even in the realm of the scope of abilities of biological life.

If you really feel that an LLM is superior to a human, you should get outside more.

p.s. I'm totally in agreement with you about the murderous psychosis of the state of Israel. Many Israelis are Jewish Nazis committing genocide. That doesn't make LLMs superior.
