Not sure. Who's target here. While neolabs have done this earlier now codex is GPS app is also kind of combining everything. Gemini is linking an app specifically for Gemini. What about CLI? What about other things it's good to have? I feel like I was using Gemini directly via Chrome. That is also much better option. However, I don't mind this but I don't want another app as long as they provide better integration with the local services and other things that could be one area that it could be better at

Somehow gemini-cli is so janky and doesn't get the latest models. But Antigravity is the new golden child? Just have a great suite of predictably quality products.

I think they are releasing the native app so they can have the omni-present ask bar that some people I assume like. Also I assume their CLI will be eventually integrated into this app.

While I liked to see a native (written in Swift?) app, the web interface for Gemini is very usable.
