Shrinking student populations cause spike in public school closures across U.S.

In my town they are talking about closing 8 primary schools next year because enrollment is down.

Where this really hits is small town America. A lot of folks in small towns are starting to see their kids bussed someplace else because there aren't enough locals to keep a school open, and they hate it.
