Grok bot is now in Tesla

Nice, it was a bit strange setting up the connectors in grok chat on the computer and not having them available in grok car for unknown reasons. I set up a gmail connector and a custom connector to my Home Assistant, so I could do things like "figure out how many amps to charge the car at so that the home battery will be at 50% at 4 PM" and it would look at my home power system metrics and calendar to see how many hours I'd be charging at home. Or "open the garage door" and "turn off all the lights and air conditioners". Now I can do those directly from the car without having to fish out my phone.

Zawinski's Law: Every program attempts to expand until it can read mail. Those programs which cannot so expand are replaced by ones which can.

Will this end well?

I've found Grok in vehicle to have degraded. When it first launched it worked ok. I used it for very basic things like asking for definitions or some additional context when listening to audiobooks on my commute.

But after a while it wouldn't understand me properly, I'd have to kind of yell or try to change my pronunciation like an old school assistant which made the process very annoying.

Anyone else have a similar experience

Yet another reason not to buy a Tesla
